Varinder Singh Rathore

Dr Varinder Singh Rathore tells of visiting Darbar Sahib and meeting Jarnail Singh Bhinderanwale & his Sikhs in December 1983. He expresses his feeling being a young Sikh in the United States and living through the diaspora community’s experiences of 1984. As a psychiatrist, he speaks to the various trauma-responses of the community and narrates the personal impact of 1984 on the solidification of his personal and community’s identity and relationship with Sikhi.
