Jasbir Kaur
Jasbir Kaur relays her eyewitness account of living through the Delhi violence of November 1984. She begins by narrating the mob attack on her house as her husband is taken outside and burned alive while she is attacked & left unconscious. Her account relays violence committed against women and children, the damage and looting of homes and businesses, and a mother’s helplessness in not knowing the fate of her children. She reflects on the suddenness of the attack and her subsequent experiences in raising her children after 1984.
We thank her for her courage in recording her family’s history.
